Erosion Control Services: BMP Site Inspection & Monitoring

BMP Site Inspection & Monitoring

An effective BMP can have long term positive effects on the environment and your business. By preventing, reducing, and removing pollutants with a proper BMP you are minimizing environmental hazards (flooding and contamination) and avoiding heavy state and federal fines.

All construction sites disturbing more than one acre, many industrial sites, and all designated Municipal Separate Storm Sewer Systems (MS4s) are required to obtain and meet the requirements of NPDES permit coverage.

SWIMS’ expertise in Best Management Practice (BMP) will develop the appropriate plan for stormwater runoff, sediment control, soil stabilization to prevent or minimize stormwater pollution. We are CISEC and CCIS certified.

NEW REGULATIONS EFFECTIVE JULY 1, 2010!

Effective July 1, 2010 all dischargers are required to obtain coverage under the Construction General Permit Order 2009-0009-DWQ adopted on September 2, 2009. Construction activity subject to this permit includes clearing, grading and disturbances to the ground such as stockpiling, or excavation, but does not include regular maintenance activities performed to restore the original line, grade, or capacity of the facility.
