Erosion Pro Wattles

Wattles are made from recycled rice straw that is pressure blown into tubular netting bundles. They are weed and seed free wattles. The wattles are secured at each end using hog rings.

Rice straw wattles are contained in a tubular black netting with a strand thickness of approximately 0.03 per inch and a know thickness of approximately 0.055 per inch. The weight is approximately 0.35 ounces per foot and is made from 85% high density polyethylene, 14% vinyl acetate with 1% carbon black for UV inhibition.

Rice straw wattles should be installed in accordance with standard details for fiber rolls. Erosion Pro Rice straw wattles are used on slopes in place of a cloth or silt fence or straw tubes. They reduce the runoff velocity and control/capture eroded sediment. These are easier to handle and install than straw bales or cloth fences.
